Easter Concert

30th March 2016
This afternoon saw almost 60 children perform in our annual Easter concert. As well as groups of children who have peripatetic music lessons here (guitar, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet, cornet, and- for the first time- oboe), school ensembles also performed for an appreciative audience, including recorder club, choir and our new woodwind ensemble. From children who have been learning their instrument for a mere seven months to those who have been playing almost 4 years, everyone did their very best and showcased their musical talent and hard work.
Huge thanks go the staff who teach the children and enabled them to take part today: Mrs Durrant, our music teacher and woodwind ensemble leader; Mrs Kenwood-Herriott, our woodwind teacher; Mr Rossiter, our guitar teacher; Ms Laverick, our cello teacher; Mrs Huby, our violin teacher; Mr Eddison our brass teacher; and Mrs Ireland, who leads recorder club.
