Volunteering at Westgate

At Westgate, we offer a range of volunteering opportunities. You may be looking for a way to 'give back' and support the work of our school, or you may be looking for classroom experience to enable you to pursue a career in school in the future.
If you have a skill to share, whether it is sporting, artistic, creative, horticultural, practical or academic, you may find an opportunity to use this to enrich our pupils' school experience.
We will always welcome volunteers to regularly help to support children's reading, writing and mathematics, as well as volunteers to help on an occasional basis with enrichment activities. The work of our small band of volunteers is greatly appreciated by staff and children alike and can make a real difference.
Volunteers at Westgate must complete an application form to assess suitability, and all are subject to an enhanced DBS check.
To find out more, please read out policy below and/ or contact Ms Carpenter, the head teacher, to discuss volunteering at Westgate. You can also download a volunteer application form, which should be returned to the School Office in the first instance.
